Russia - a cornerstone of European energy supply. |

|
UK production is in rapid decline, Netherlands production is on a plateau through to 2015, Norway is “sold out” and LNG supply is not always secure. This gives a special significance to Russian pipeline gas in the medium and long term supply of North West Europe and the UK. | The ability of Russia to respond to the future European call for gas is subject to debate and speculation, often mixed with politics. Russia’s future domestic needs, control of gas flows out of Central Asia and the call on Russian gas in CIS, Central and Eastern Europe are key elements. | The size and complexity of the country with its vast resource base, high degree of domestic gasification and an extensive indigenous pipeline network with geographical reach across Europe makes analysis of Russian gas challenging and often based on approximate data sets and perceptions. Russia has significant commitments and North West Europe is at the end of a long and complex supply chain which Russia does not fully control. Eclipse Energy Group has taken a different - fact based - in order to analyse the historical performance of Russian gas and on that basis forecast the future flows into Europe. These products are a valuable contribution for all players in European and Russian markets, including power, oil & gas companies, financial institutions and banks as well as governmental agencies.
